  Election for FL Junior Athlete Representative to the 2013-2014 Florida Swimming Board of Directors will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2013, during prelims of the “2013 Florida Swimming Spring Senior Championship”, in Orlando, FL.  Candidate applications will also be accepted on Thursday & Friday, at the meet.   A ballot box will be open for voting from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on deck at the meet on Saturday, February 23, 2012.   Application Notice

  What Is The USA Swimming Network?   The goal of the USA Swimming Network is to reach out to 4,000 sanctioned events nationwide. The USA Swimming Network was created to give fans “all swimming all the time”. The network will include broadcasts and videos, from clubs and Local Swim Committees across the country. Olympic gold medalist Missy Franklin (Centennial, Colo.) and Becca Mann (Clearwater, Fla.) each closed out the Arena Grand Prix at Orlando with two first-place finishes. Franklin won the 200m back and the 100m free, while Mann earned the top spot in the 800m free and the 200m IM. Olympic gold medalists Dana Vollmer and Missy Franklin were each victorious on the first night of competition of the Arena Grand Prix at Orlando. Vollmer won the women’s 100m fly while Franklin earned a first-place finish in the 200m free. The meet, taking place at the YMCA Aquatic Center in Orlando, runs through Saturday, February 16.
