IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!!  2012 USA Swimming Rules & Regulations There is an error in the Olympic Trials Time Standards listed on page 82 of the 2012 USA Swimming Rules & Regulations. The time standards as listed in the rulebook are reversed. The times shown for the women are the men’s times and times shown for the men are the women’s times. The time standards for Olympic Trials on USA Swimming’s web site are correctly listed.  

Florida Swimming has released the 2012 Senior Champs, and FLAGs Meet Announcement letters.  Meet information can be found on the Event Page for both of these meets.

The Florida Swimming Office will be closed on January 16th in honor of MLK Day.

Cori Welbes is going to offer a CPR, 1st Aid and Coaches Safety certification on Saturday, January 14 .   It will be held at the Newton A. Perry Aquatic Center, located on the College of Central Florida Ocala Campus   Time: 10:00am   Cost: $ 30 per certification    Individuals need to email her ( [email protected] ) if they plan to attend by Thursday, January 12  

  The Florida Swimming office will be closed on December 23 and 26.    The Florida Swimming office will be on part time hours 8:30 to 1:00 on December 22 and December 27 to the 30th.

ATLANTA, Georgia, December 1. CAITLIN Leverenz scorched the pool with a sterling time of 2:09.39 in the women's 200 IM at the USA Swimming Winter Nationals. That swim just missed the U.S. Open record of 2:09.34 set by Julia Smit in 2009, and moved Leverenz to fourth in the world rankings. Only Ye Shiwen (2:08.90), Alicia Coutts (2:09.00) and Ariana Kukors (2:09.12) have been faster this year. Leverenz broke her lifetime best of 2:10.40 to move to 10th all time in the event's history.
