Congratulations to Lanya Olmsted, High Tide Aquatics and Matthew Thompson, West Florida Lightning being named the recipients of the 2011 Irene & Bud Hackett award.  Each year, Florida Swimming awards two $1,000.00 scholarships, one to a male and one to a female member of Florida Swimming, in memory of Florida Swimming’s long time Executive Director, Irene Hackett and her husband Bud.  Lanya Olmsted will be attending Harvard University in the fall and Matthew Thompson will be attending University of Florida.
