The Ravenwood High School Swim Team is a club sport at Ravenwood High School in Brentwood, TN. The season runs from early October through early February. We attend meets in the middle Tennessee area, and abide by the rules set forth by both Middle Tennessee High School Swimming Association (MTHSSA) and Tennessee Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association (TISCA). The season culminates with Regional and State meets for those swimmers who qualify.
We practice at the Indoor Sports Complex located at 920 Heritage Way, Brentwood, TN 37027. As a club sport we rely exclusively on team fees and fundraising to fund activities.
Only students who attend Ravenwood or homeschool students who live in the Ravenwood zone are eligible to swim on the team. Students must be in grades 9-12 and in good academic standing. Swimmers must know how to swim in order to join the team. They should have a solid foundation in Freestyle and Backstroke, and previous experience in competitive swimming is a plus.
Our primary mission is to give the students an opportunity to be a part of a team and enjoy the comradery that comes with that. Furthermore, we want to see our swimmers grow and improve both mentally and physically as a result of the commitment that is inherent with being a member of a sports team. Lastly, but perhaps most importantly, we want to see our swimmers have fun!
