Practice Group Information

Red Group

This group practices from 3:30-5:45 M-F and on Saturday mornings at the Memorial Northwest Recreation Center. Swimmers are mostly high school age. While yardage is an integral part of any high school-aged club program, the red group dually works on individualized stroke development.  Red group swimmers learn to swim fast, but also get a good dose of fun and community.

Red group is $199 to register and $199/month. An off-campus administrative fee of $50/semester is applied to those who participate in Klein ISD’s program.

Swimmers are required to have an active USA swimming membership and the following equipment: short blade fins and kickboard, pull buoy, paddles, snorkel, tempo trainer, and team suit. Registration includes a free team cap and shirt. All other items are available for purchase on our team store

Unlike most club team policies, Swim Ohana allows red group swimmers to swim summer league. We believe that the positive, community-based nature of summer league improves swimming performance more than any Saturday morning practice session.

Red group swimmers are highly encouraged to swim at all meets; however, this is not a requirement. There are no practice attendance requirements.
