Poliana Okimoto named 2013 Female Athlete of the Year by the Brazilian Olympic Committee SAO PAULO, BRAZIL--Open Water swimmer Poliana Okimoto was named Female Athlete of the Year for 2013 by the Brazilian Olympic Committee, Comitê Olímpico Brasileiro (COB), at ceremonies held last month in São Paulo. Male honors went to sailor Jorge Zarif. Swimmer Cesar Cielo was a finalist for Male Athlete honors.
