Our Mission

Urban Swim CLE is an extracurricular athletic swim program founded by local residents designed to teach life-saving skills and developmental swim skills.  Our program is currently located at Cumberland Pool in Cleveland Heights during the Summer months and Euclid High School in Euclid during the Fall and Spring months.

Our robust instructional swim program addresses the issue of drownings and provides developmental and competitive pathways to all children through a variety of multicultural and quality programming experiences.  Classes are recommended for children ages 4+ and are based off of the Red Cross Curriculum taught by experienced USA Swimming competitive swimmers or coaches and Red Cross Certified Lifeguards.

The Urban Swim CLE Foundation, an affiliate organization, mission is focused on raising funds, making connections, opening doors and bringing awareness to our urban communities about the importance of learning to swim.  With our fundraising efforts and talent recruting, we are able to elevate quality swim programming in communities that have limited or no programming and facilitate widening the access of these programs to underutilized pools.
