Solstice Meet Preliminary Results

Mark Walters

Hard to believe but this meet was as close as our 2024 Solstice -- which we lost by 5 points.  This time it looks like we won by 6!  Results are not official yet so we are holding our breath and hoping they don't find out about the propeller Scott attached to his swim suit.

The scores are at the bottom.  First, we want to recognize everyone who swam.  We don't win without every one of these swimmers:  Erica Bailey, Jenny Carswell, Linda Carter, Kempsey Clark, Kylee Diulus, Denise Dombay, Amy Funk, Judy Gearhart, Jason George, Scott Golden, Michelle Grace, Ronald Greger, Patricia Guay-Berry, Dorota Hassett, Anthony Higgins, Steve Jolles, Cheryl Kaiser, Steven Krempasky, Jeanne Lappin, Bryan Main, Corrigan McIlmail, Alexander Ochs, Arlene Proebsting, Bryan Rivera, David Robinson, Stephanie Shneydman, Caitlin Smith, Farol Tomson, Brenda Weis, Stephanie White, Stephen Wright.  THANK YOU and hope you had fun.

Next, here are the GERM swimmers who set new team records in individual events: Caitlyn Smith (W30-34 200 back), Amy Funk (W35-39 400 IM), Jenny Carswell (W50-54 200 fly and 400 IM), Denise Dombay (W55-59 100 and 200 back), Patricia Guay-Berry (W60-64 100 free), Michelle Grace (W60-64 200 free), Brenda Weis (W60-64 100 back), Judy Gearhart (W60-64 100 breast), Jeanne Lappin (W70-74 50 and 100 back, 50 and 100 breast), Linda Carter (W80-84 200 back), Anthony Higgins (M55-59 50, 100 and 200 back), David Robinson (M80-84 50 fly).

Here are our new team record setters in relays:  W100-119 200m medley: Smith, Diulus, McIlmail, Shneydman; M200-239 800m free: Higgins, Golden, Main, Rivera; X120-159 800m free:  Clark, George, Smith, Funk; X200-239 200m free: Dombay, Carswell, Rivera, Higgins; X320-359 200m free: Carter, Robinson, Greger, Proebsting; X320-359 200m medley: Carter, Robinson, Walters, Proebsting.
