“Excellence, delivered with enthusiasm, every day.”
The BGNW Marlins are committed to providing an inclusive environment for excellence where the sport of swimming, and the lessons learned from it, are accessible to all members of the community. The “Five Pillars;” accountability, belief in all, community, legacy, and purpose, provide the framework for a supportive environment where all athletes are encouraged to grow and develop into their best selves in and out of the water.
ACCOUNTABILITY
A Marlin understands that their actions must reflect the necessary steps to achieve their stated goals, that their goals must align with the purpose of their training group, and that they are responsible for this to themselves and their teammates.
BELIEF IN ALL
A Marlin knows that every member of the team is capable of growth, improvement, and great achievement.
COMMUNITY
A Marlin understands that their attitudes and actions have an impact on their teammates and that every athlete deserves a supportive environment, so a Marlin chooses to make their impact on their teammates positive.
LEGACY
A Marlin strives to leave “it better than they found it.”
PURPOSE
A Marlin believes they are more capable as part of the whole than as an individual.
