9-10 Boys LCM Records Keep on Falling!

Ten-year-old Nico Lahre has been re-writing the Marlins 9-10 Boys Long Course Meters Record Book!

On June 12, 2025, Nico set a new record in the 50 meter butterfly, at the CT GRIT Long Course Invitational. His time of 34.09 improved on his previous record of 34.19 that was achieved May 16, 2025

Swimming at the QNS One More Chance Invitational, July 5-6, 2025, Nico set five more Marlins Records, four of those breaking his own personal bests. 

9-10 boys 200 meter freestyle - 2:25.40 (previous record was 2:28.71
9-10 boys 400 meter freestyle - 5:07.27 (previous record was 5:13.84)

9-10 boys 100 meter backstroke - 1:14.07 (previous record was 1:15.88)
9-10 boys 100 meter butterfly - 1:13.54 (previous record was 1:15.47)

In addition, Nico set a ten-year-old record in the 9-10 boys 100 meter freestyle with a time of 1:08.46. The previous record was set in January 2015 by Nikita Sakharuk who owned the record time of 1:09.38.
