MSC MISSION STATEMENT

The purpose of the McAllen Swim Club is to promote the sport of swimming competitively and, in the process, help develop the character of individual swimmers.  Our goal is to foster a desire in swimmers to develop themselves to their full potential through self-discipline and respect for themselves and others.  MSC aims to encourage an interest in swimming as a sport and a life-long habit in a fun, safe, and family-oriented environment. 

MSC VISION STATEMENT

To provide the opportunity and environment that inspires swimmers to achieve their maximum potential and develop self-worth through discipline, self-motivation, and team unity at all levels of competition and throughout their lives.

Established in 1963, MSC is a competitive and recreational swim club based out of McAllen, TX, dedicated to continued sports development in our area. 

Since 1994, MSC has been home to close to 5,000 participants and continues to produce many of the area’s top swimming performers, most of whom compete at multiple levels yearly, including UIL district, regional, & state competitions. Our athletes have also competed at various national-level meets, and many have gone on to swim at NCAA Div I, II & III Universities. 

USA Swimming recognizes us as a Level 2 Club for being parent-governed and operating year-round with two competitive swim seasons. We strive to encourage kids to reach their fullest potential, display good sportsmanship & have a great time! 

MSC is a non-profit & member support organization that relies on parent volunteers, fundraising events & local support to keep our team operational.
