Virginia Hype Lady Hunchos Cheer Program Overview 

 

HLH Operation: Cheer Season starts July – April of the following year. Team placements are in July with the first practice starting in August. HLH travels at least monthly starting in January and extends through April, with the opportunity to qualify and attend BID competition in May. 

Team placement: Athletes display their skills over the course of two days and will be evaluated according to their skills and placed on a team accordling. 

ATHLETES MUST BE FULLY REGISTERED & ATTEND BOTH DATES

 

Registration:  Annual NON-RERUNDABLE payment for all participating athletes which includes a practice uniform & bow.  Mandatory monthly gym fees to be paid by the 5th of each month via GoMotion. Monthly gym fee rate will be provided at the time of registration.

* MANDATORY ITEMS REQUIRED FOR THE SEASON: Competition Uniform|Shoes | Comp Bows - 2 required | Make Up |Choreography and Music fee ~ separate glam gear items to be offered at additional cost. 

Practices: All teams practice twice weekly, with the possibility of additional practices added closer to competition days. Practices are closed to family members, unless otherwise advised by HLH volunteers. We ask that all questions and or concerns are provided to the team liaison for support.

 

Competitions:  Our goal is to attend at least one competition each month starting in January with travel extending anywhere from 1 to 8 hours away. Competition fees are required by the competition host and range from $50.00 - $200.00 per attending athlete.  

Parents are responsible for satisfying payments to cover competition fees. Invoices to include due date will be provided in GoMotion one month before the competition.-Fee is applied

Parents are also responsible for travel accommodation unless other arrangements have been provided by the program.  The program will offer a group reservation room block for a discounted rate.

 

Team Communication: Each team will have a group chat using Band for communication between athletes, parents, and coaches. Information such as but not limited to the season schedule, changes in practice time/location, competition fees, travel, and lodging.  This Band will be set up using the parents and athletes phone number provided during registration.

7v7 Operations: Tryouts are in November with the first practice starting the first week of December. 7v7 travels at least monthly starting in January and extends through May, with the opportunity to qualify and attend National Tournaments in June.

 

TRYOUTS: Allows athletes to display their skills to be evaluated in order to determine the best position of each athlete on the team.  SIGN UP REQUIRED TO ATTEND  

   

Registration:  Annual NON-RERUNDABLE payment for all participating athletes. Includes 2 compression uniforms and helmet. 

*** Separate Swag Gear to be offered at additional cost. 

 

Practices: All teams practice one day each week on Sunday. There may be additional practices added closer to tournament day. Parents are welcomed to practice; however, we ask that there is NO interference with the team, your athlete, or coaches while practice is conducted. We ask that all questions and or concerns are provided to the team liaison for support. 

 

Tournaments:  Our goal is to attend at least one tournament each month starting in January with travel extending anywhere from 1 to 8 hours away. Tournament fees are satisfied by dividing the roster count by the cost of the tournament required by the tournaments host.  Team rosters can vary from a minimum of 15 to a maximum of 25 athletes per team. 

Parents are responsible for satisfying payments to cover tournaments fees. Invoices to include due date will be provided in GoMotion 2-3 weeks before the tournament.-Fee is applied
