LAC Gators Email 10/08/2023
It was awesome to see the number of families and swimmers that were able to participate in our intrasquad meet. A huge thank you goes out to everyone who volunteered and help make this event a huge success. We had a tremendous number of best times, a great team picture showing off some good looking kids, and an amazing social event. Yesterday, Yoder Farm was once again a big hit and now we move our focus to Cary, NC next weekend, October 13 -15, 2023. We are excited to have 42 athletes from LAC representing at this meet and are looking forward to some great swims.
A few things:

Please remember to sign up if you are able to help with the Trunk or Treat at Crosswhite on October 22, 2023. Set up will be at 3:30pm with the event taking place from 4:00 - 6:00 pm. The link to sign up can be found here. We are asking that you either decorate your trunk or the person handing out the candy dress up or both. Crosswhite will be providing candy for the trunk or treat. If you are so inclined to help by supplying candy to the event, there is a box at the desk at the entrance to the pool where candy can be dropped off.

We have made an adjustment to our meet schedule. With the knowledge that the Christiansburg meet November 3 - 5, 2023 is only open to swimmers aged 13 & Older, we have added a meet to our schedule, the BASS Turkey Classic. The BASS Turkey Classic will be November 18 - 19, 2023 in Richmond, VA. This meet allows us to participate as a team. A link to a hotel block has been put up on the swim meet event page on our website. Event selection for the Turkey Classic meet is available now.

With it being unlikely that blocking a group of rooms will be cheaper than the ISCA sponsored hotel rates, we would encourage you to look into booking your rooms for Florida if that is a goal for your swimmer this season sooner than later. The rate for the Staybridge Suites is a good price for the time of year that the meets will be hosted there. Links to hotels can be found on the ISCA site here.
