I have a couple of general announcements and invitations to share with all of you.

There will be no practice this Saturday, October 20, 2023. There will be limited parking due to a Jiu Jitsu tournament held in the Crosswhite pavilion. I have attached a swim workout that can be completed at our regularly scheduled practice time should you want to venture out.

Dryland practices for the Platinum and Gold groups will start this week October 23, 2023 on Tuesday and Thursday. Payden will be leading our dryland activities with the Platinum and Gold groups. He is a firefighter so will be working around his work schedule as a first responder. I will work to get the schedule for dryland posted on our website for the twice a week dryland training. We will do dryland with Payden from 4:30 - 5:00pm and 7:15 - 7:30pm for the Gold group. We are really excited to start this training as it will be instrumental in providing a complete swim program for our Platinum and Gold group swimmers.

We will have our Halloween party this coming Thursday, October 26, 2023 from 5:30 - 7:00pm. This practice will be the only practice on this day to encourage all to attend. We will have team based activities, races against coaches and Coach Clyde’s birthday swim during this time. Food will be provided by Vitale’s Pizza Kitchen. The cost to eat will be $5. Randolph College will be hosting their Trick or Treat Meet at the Randolph College pool Friday, October 27, 2023. Randolph College will be swimming against Hampden Sydney and Sweet Briar. All kids in attendance will receive a candy treat. The meet will start at 7:00pm. Jackson Hunt, an LAC alumni, has been doing really well this season for Randolph College.

The deadline for the 13 & Over swim meet in Christiansburg is October 23,2023. Please commit as soon as possible.

The deadline for the all ages Richmond swim meet is November 5, 2023. Please go ahead and commit to the Richmond meet if you are planning on going.

I have attached the Gators Are Hydrated flyer. Coach Jesse attended a webinar while I was in a meeting and we will be passing along that information to you in segments moving forward.
