Propstra has informed us that they will be closing due to the heat warning today, Monday August 11th. Practice is canceled for today, to resume on Wednesday as normal.
Greeting Vancouver Swim Club! It's the first day of August and a new era for the VSC. Our current solution for communications can use some... updating. It has been my honor and pleasure to work with the swimmers of Vancouver Swim Club over the last 2 years. Working with our swimmers to compete in their first swim meet, watching them dive off a block for the first time, or figure out a detail in a stroke has made me feel involved in something larger than myself. Practice is cancelled tonight, Thursday, April 24th, due to the town hall for Congresswoman Guesenkamp Perez that is being held at Marshall/Luepke Center. Practice will be held at the regularly scheduled time tomorrow.
Due to the thunderstorms scheduled for this evening, Propstra is closing the pool for tonight. Their thunder/lightning policy at the pool has the guards clear everyone from the water for 30 minutes. During this 30 minute period, if there is any additional thunder/lightning then the 30 minute timer will reset. Only after a full 30 minutes of no thunder/lightning will people be allowed back into the water. Greetings! Tomorrow starts a new practice schedule for Mondays and Wednesdays, however there is a slight adjustment. Propstra has informed us there are some extended maintenance issues at their other location, Jim Parsley Community Center, and will need to move some programming over to Propstra for an undetermined amount of time.
