Coaching and Schedule Changes
It has been my honor and pleasure to work with the swimmers of Vancouver Swim Club over the last 2 years. Working with our swimmers to compete in their first swim meet, watching them dive off a block for the first time, or figure out a detail in a stroke has made me feel involved in something larger than myself. I have lived vicariously through the swimmers many accomplishments. For that I thank you all for the opportunity.
However, due to ongoing health issues I must step away from the club and coaching. This Wednesday will be my last practice with the team. I will never forget my time here.
Your assistant Coach Sayle will work with you and your swimmers for the remainder of the season. Based on pool and coaching availability there are some scheduling changes starting immediately.
Starting tomorrow, MWF practices will be held at Propstra from 5:45-7:45.
Green – 5:45-6:45
Red – 6:45-7:45
White – 5:45–7:15
Blue -5:45-7:45
Your last Marshall practice will be on Tuesday, July 22nd. The VSC board is in the middle of contract negotiations with the Marshall Center and the City of Vancouver, and until they have reached an agreement practice at Marshall will be suspended indefinitely.
The Board is also still waiting on an update from the Washington School for the Blind, as they are still closed due to their pool refurbishment project.
Thank you,
Ray Paskey - Coach
