Cubs (Elementary)
This is our entry level group. Swimmers MUST be able to swim 25 yards unaided on their front and on their back in order to join this group. Athletes in this group will focus on learning the four legal competitive strokes, starts & turns, streamlines, and above all else – having FUN!
Cubs practice Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 5-7pm. Dryland takes place on Wednesday at the beginning of practice.
Jr. Cougs (Middle School)
From Cubs, athletes move into our Junior Cougars group. This group is split with a 50% technique focus and a 50% conditioning focus. In this group there is more application of techniques and drills into swimming sets. In this group, Dryland training is introduced and is carried out through the remaining upper levels.
Jr. Cougs practice Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday from 5-7pm. Dryland takes place Monday and Friday at the beginning of practice.
Cougs (Middle School)
From Junior Cougars, athletes move into our Coug group. For the first time in their swimming career – conditioning takes precedence over technique. It is in this age group that we focus on building cardiovascular health and focus highly on aerobic training. Technique and drills are still performed but there is a larger focus on conditioning to prepare for our senior group.
Cougars practice Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday from 5-7pm. Dryland takes place Monday and Friday at the beginning of practice.
Senior (High School)
In order to be in our senior group – athletes must be in High School & have permission from the head coach. In this group there is a 90% conditioning focus and 10% technique focus. Athletes are expected to swim in USA Swimming Sanctioned meets, participate in at least 10 hours a week, and have consistent attendance. Athletes in this group are also expected to do more outside of the pool – such as community service, reading books together as a team, & various team building events.
Seniors meet Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday: 5:00-7:00 PM. Dryland takes place Tuesday and Thursday at the beginning of practice.
National (High School)
Similar to Senior group but this group also trains in the morning on Monday, Friday, and Saturday. These swimmers also participate in weight training on Wednesday and Saturday.
Nationals meet Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, 5:00-7:00 PM, Monday and Friday, 5:30 AM-7:00 AM and Saturday 7:00-8:45 AM; Weights Wednesday 6:00-7:00 AM and Saturday 6:00 AM-7:00 AM. Dryland takes place Tuesday and Thursday at the beginning of afternoon practice.
