Steve Westover
The co-founder of Team Booger and Executive Director, Steve has been riding and racing bikes since he was 14 years old. He spent many years in the bicycle industry as a marketing executive and in his spare time runs an outdoor industry investment fund. Early on in his career he ran World Cup mountain bike teams for Giant Bicycle and sponsored some of the largest professional road teams in the world. Steve doesn't see himself as much of a coach but rather a herder of kids to have fun.
Steve is certified in First Aid and CPR, Safesport Certified, a level 2 coach with the WSCL, and is the originator of the Fizzy Donut race.
Miles Boucher
Miles Boucher is a lifelong bicycle enthusiast who believes in the transformative power of the two wheels. He first raced 'cross at age 4 when his MTB racer parents signed him up for a race (and helped carry the bike over the barriers). Since moving to Seattle from the east coast in 2015, Miles has been seeking new cycling adventures throughout the PNW. Outside of the cyclocross season, he enjoys all types of riding, especially multi-day off-road bikepacking routes over bumpy forest roads.
Miles is a certified in First Aid and CPR, Safesport Certified, a Level 1 Coach through
BICP
, and has years of experience in youth advocacy education and leadership through Water1st International's youth program, and over a decade of training, learning, and racing bikes.
Tom Ryse
Tom is an experienced cyclist who resides in Spokane, Washington. He has been working with junior athletes for over 10 years. Where he has been a coach for the Washington Student Cycling League since 2015. He was the head coach of the Spokane team for 6 years and is also is a founding member of the School of Cross junior cyclocross program in Spokane which started in 2017. As a masters cycling athlete, Tom enjoys training, competition and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Over the years he has competed in all types of off-road cycling events, including 24 hour mountain bike solo, endurance & cross country mountain bike, gravel and cyclocross.
Tom is first aid and CPR trained, Safesport certified, and a level 3 USA cycling coach along with being a previous masters cyclocross US national champion.
