WAVE HEAD COACH - Ryan Knox-Leonard
Coach Ryan attended Northern Michigan University earning a degree in Physical Education Secondary, Health Education and Health & Nutrition. While studying, Ryan competed on the NMU Swim and Dive team from 2015 - 2019 where he became a 6x All-American, 7x GLIAC Conference Champion, 4 year Scholar All-America, Varsity Award winner, and team MVP.
Ryan has been head coaching for 5 years and is excited to be starting his Third season as head coach at Fox Valley WAVE!
TIDAL WAVES / TIDALNAMIS LEAD COACH - Scott Dillon
Coach Scott started swimming for his local YMCA team in Canandaigua, New York as a young child and went on to swim for his high school team as well as being a qualifyer for YMCA Nationals. Post high school, he swam for Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) while majoring in Packaging Engineering and minoring in American Sign Language. Scott started coaching in college and has been coaching ever since. Scott is excited to start his Second year with Fox Valley WAVE!
BREAKERS / SWELLS LEAD COACH - Ruthe Zimmerman
Coach Ruthe started swimming on the Wisconsin Dells Dolphins Swim Team at age 8. She went on to swim at UWGB and UW-Milwaukee where she earned her degree in Psychology and went on to get her Masters in Counseling. Ruthe has been coaching for over 20 years and loves to help swimmers reach their goals both in and out of the pool. Coach Ruthe is married with two girls who are both on the Wave team. Her youngest daughter Maggie was born with Down Syndrome so Ruthe spends a lot of her free time advocating for her daughter.
STRENGTH & CONDITIONING LEAD COACH - Laura Westfall
Coach Laura started swimming since both her older sisters were on the swim team. She quickly fell in love with the sport and the tightness of her teammates/friends. Laura swam distance and butterfly throughout high school and college, before becoming an elementary school teacher. She’s been coaching swimming for the last 10 years, leading workouts, and teaching yoga. She’s excited to be working with the Wave Swim Team again in the gym. She loves incorporating strength and full body workouts into swim programs.

BOARD MEMBERS
PRESIDENT - Matt Barnes 
Our Wave President is the chairperson of the team, and the Parent Board, and has the responsibility and power necessary to carry out the team’s policies, and overall direction. The President supports the head coach and head age group coach and interfaces with outside organizations (NJSD, AASD, Wisconsin Swimming) in support of the team and overall health of the competitive swimming in the greater Fox Valley area.
VICE PRESIDENT - Katie Loken
Our Vice President supports the President and is responsible for all the Presidential duties in the absence of the President. Additionally, the Vice President is responsible for coordinating board elections, transitions, and succession for the continuity of leadership for the team and provides leadership support and guidance (as needed) to any of the team committees.
TREASURER - Lori Klister
The Treasurer maintains all financial records for the team and manages the team’s accounts with duties including, but not limited to, creating the team’s budget(s), monitoring funds, payroll, expenses, and deposits. The Treasurer serves as a liaison between the Parent Board and the team’s accountant.
SECRETARY - TBD
Our Secretary records, reports and maintains all team activity files including, but not limited to, board meeting minutes, action items, contracts, insurance records, bylaws, and policies etc. The Secretary also establishes and maintains a team standard work/operations calendar in conjunction with the Head Coach and Parent Board.
Our Education Coordinator provides information to new families coming onto the Wave team. Swim Meet 101/New Parent Meetings are held near the beginning of the Spring and Fall seasons to help answer questions regarding website navigation, swim meet information, practice information, and general parent questions. The Education Coordinator is a point of contact for families throughout the season, and also helps organize the non-Wave clinics in the Spring and Fall.
COMMUNICATIONS COORDINATOR - Elizabeth Ordonez
The Communications Coordinator manages communications and publicity for the FV Wave. The Communications Coordinator’s duties include but are not limited to support any team recruitment activities, advertising, publicity, etc. in coordination with the coaches and other members of the Parent Board, maintain up-to-date content on the website, lead marketing for home meets as well as develop cadence for team news blasts, social media, and team newsletter, etc.

The Registrar & Admin Coordinator manages team registration each season and team billing. The Registrar & Admin Coordinator's Job include, but are not limited to, create registration and send out to the team, manage the team waitlist list, reply to email related to registration, bill team accounts for swim meets and apparel items, as well as assist the head coach with email replies.
SAFESPORT ADMINISTRATOR - Meghan Gremban
The SafeSport Administrator’s purpose is to help identify, plan and execute efforts to raise awareness for SafeSport within the club’s coaches, parents and athletes. The SafeSport Administrator is responsible for handling safety reports and concerns from athletes and parents within the program. This position will work with the Wisconsin Safe Sport chair to help review and/or investigate any allegations and provide final results to the parent board.
Fundraiser Chair is responsible for contacting local businesses to support the team financially and/or through donations for our home meets. Is a member of the meet planning committees. The fundraiser chair is also a voting board member.
