NEW WEBSITE! And other important information

Ruthe Zimmerman

We have upgraded our team website to make it more user friendly for our members.  Please take the next couple weeks to get on and look around.  One place to start is with the Calendar, it is updated thru the Fall season now.  You can also find a list of our upcoming swim meets on the website, there will be an email going out when it is time to sign up for each meet.  Lastly, we have 3 new deck coaches we want to introduce.  Below you can find a little paragraph about each, and you can see their pictures under the coaches tab on the website.  Have fun exploring and please reach out if you have any questions.

Kim Bjork

I'm so excited to be back on the pool deck coaching with the Wave this year! I started swimming competitively when I was 8 years old. I went on to swim at Minnesota State University, Mankato where I was an All-American. After college, I continued my passion for swimming as a coach in Oklahoma City for 2 years, then on the Wave for another 3, before taking a break from coaching.  Fast forward 7 years and I'm excited to rejoin the Wave coaching staff while watching my daughter participate in her first year on the team!

Dan Frase

I started competitively swimming when I was five for the YMCA Swim Team in Eau Claire. Really enjoyed being part of a team, but still having the individual goals of the event. My High School coach determined that I was a Distance swimmer and worked every practice with me to break the longest standing record at Memorial High School, breaking 5 minutes in the 500 Free. During my high school time, several records were set for Individual and team events. I also swam the mile in college which was one of the greatest events for a Distance Swimmer.

My wife and have 5 wonderful children which keep us plenty busy. In my free time, I enjoy doing any outdoor activity. Looking forward to working with swimmers of all levels and seeing them get better and gain more skills thru the years.

Kameron Neumann

My name is Kameron Neumann and I am a recent graduate from UW-Oshkosh with a Supply Chain Management Degree. I am very excited to start assistant coaching for the WAVE and cannot wait to meet everyone! I swam under Coach Ruthe and Coach Jamie on the Appleton North swim team, and I am excited to start coaching next to Coach Ruthe with the Silver team! I have a deep love for swimming so when Ruthe reached out to help coach, I could not say no because I have always wanted to get back on deck with the sport that taught me confidence and the importance of hard work! Hope to meet you all when the season starts!
