Registration Opens Sept 1st and other information
Fox Valley Wave families,
Fall/Winter 2022 - 2023 swim season is quickly approaching. PLEASE READ EVERYTHING BECAUSE THERE IS SOME NEW INFORMATION.
The first day of practice will be Wednesday, September 14th, 2021.
PRACTICE TEAM MOVEMENT
We will have 5 practice teams this season. Group assignments for Bronze 1, Bronze 2, Silver, Gold, Seniors have been posted on the web page. This list can be found when logged into your account under the Practice Teams tab.
Our coaching staff has extensive experience and takes into consideration many factors when determining practice team placement. The coaches consider age, ability, and attitude but also give thought to factors like coach-ability, maturity level for the workout demand, dedication to the sport and more. The coaches have placed swimmers where they feel they will be most successful.

FEE STRUCTURE
Fees include Wave participation fee only. The USA registration fee will no longer be included in the team fees. USA Swimming is now requiring athetes to sign themselves up for USA registration each year.
Starting September 1, 2022, USA Swimming will be rolling out SWIMS 3.0. Through this system team members will now register and pay for their USA Swimming registration through SWIMS 3.0. Each member will still begin the registration process through our club website. Once registration is closed an email will be sent to each registered member with the club's unique SWIMS 3.0 registration link. The member will use the link to go to the USA Swimming website, log-in to SWIMS 3.0, complete registration for the athlete and pay for their registration. Members will be 2-days to complete this process.Any athlete who has not completed registration through SWIMS 3.0 will not be allowed on deck until it has been completed.
WAVE Fees are as follows:
Senior: $1,221 Senior HS Girls: $831 Senior HS Boys: $586
Gold: $813 Gold HS Girls: $552 Gold HS Boys: $391
Silver: $563
Bronze 2: $476
Bronze 1: $391
If a swimmer is participating in another sanctioned school sport that prevents them from starting with the Fox Valley Wave at the start of the swim season fees will be prorated for no more than 1/3 of the full season rate. Requests to prorate fees must be made in writing (but can be submitted via the team website or email) DURING the registration process or the week prior. If your child is swimming High School, you should sign your child up for the appropriate “HS” Practice Team above and the fee is already prorated for you; you do not have to send a request,
FORMS TO BE INCLUDED IN REGISTRATION
As part of the registration process, you will be required to review and agree to our team code of conduct, team anti-bullying policy, team electronic communication policy, volunteer requirements, fundraising requirements, medical release and liability waiver, concussion waiver, covid waiver and photo release policy. Please make sure to review these policies with your swimmers, so they are clear on the role they play in meeting these expectations.
VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS
The Fox Valley Wave thrives due to the combined efforts of our coaches and parent volunteers to deliver on our team mission. To continue to succeed, it is essential that each family volunteers their time before and during home meets as needed. Each family is expected to volunteer for a minimum of 2 slots our home swim meet to be held on December 17-18 2022.
If you know you are unable to volunteer at the meet, opportunities to serve on the meet planning committee will be publicized and you can fulfill your requirement in this manner. You will be required to track your time and have a board member verify your hours. If you cannot or will not volunteer, you will be charged a $200 fee, invoiced to your account following the last meet volunteer opportunity.
You will find additional clarification regarding these requirements as part of the registration process. Please take the time to read this section carefully, so you fully understand what the requirements are.
FUNDRAISING FEE
Fees and money raised from our meets do not meet all our budgetary requirements. For this reason, we are requiring all swimmers to participate in fundraising. Fundraising requirements for Fall/Winter 2021-2022 will be $75 per swimmer. These fees will be billed to each swimmer’s account on November 1st, 2022. Participating in the Scrip and/or HuTerra programs are ways to help offset the fundraising fee.
REGISTRATION PROCESS – OPENING MONDAY, AUGUST 30th, 2021
1. September 1st – September 8th:: All Current Members.
2. September 9th: Waitlisted swimmers will be notified of openings and be able to Register
We do offer an installment payment option. The first payment will only be accepted through credit card payments made online and any outstanding payments will be included at that time. The second installment due date is November 1, 2021, and the third installment is due January 1, 2022.
NOTE: All High School Swimmers must register when registration opens to hold a spot on the team for after the High School Swim Season.
Finally, there will be mandatory parent meeting on Thursday, Sept 22nd along with Elsmore Aquatic being available for swim suit fittings.
