Fee Increase Information
Hello WAVE Families,
Many people have reached out asking about the fee increase. This was needed to put the team on a sustainable path and set us up for the next decade. During COVID, and immediately following, our team was operating at a loss, but continued only with the help from donations. Our swim pyramid is currently bottom heavy due to COVID, and the current budget will benefit the team as we expand the Tsunami (Senior) and Tropical Storm (Senior National Groups), which traditionally have higher fees. The budget will continue to be evaluated annually; however, future increases will be smaller going forward. Right now, the fee increase was between $3 to $12 per week, depending on the group.
Some additional reasons for these increases include:

During COVID the team’s financial reserves were depleted

Pool costs have increased significantly

ANHS costs increased 10%

Neenah costs doubled

Team fees increased Fall 2022 for the first time since 2017. The new team fees are the result of further budget evaluation and comparison to local and state swim team fees.

Coaching pay increased to keep wages competitive with other area and state teams

deck, substitute, and lead coaches increased per hour

head coach salary increased

Dryland coach added for Tidal Waves, Tsunami, and Tropical Storm groups

Fall/Winter 2022-23 swimmer USA Swimming fees were paid separate from team fees and this year USA Swimming Fee increased $13

Some of the swimmer groups have increased season lengths due to timing of end of season meets

Lead Coaches are now paid for workout prep
The goal of this increase is to rebuild financial reserves, buy equipment, and increase in social activities. Finally, a multi-swimmer discount is being considered for families that have more than one swimmer.
