REGISTRATION Information Spring 2024

Thank you everyone for a great Fall/Winter season! We appreciate all the coaches, swimmers, and parents for all their time and effort in and out of the pool.  As we look forward to an incredible spring season, we have lots of news to share, including updated registration information and a tentative spring schedule.  Please read the entire email to not miss out on some very important and new information. 

REGISTRATION PROCESS

Registration dates are listed below. Most of our groups will probably fill. Our current swimmers register first, the previous members, then waitlisted swimmers. Please note the dates below for when you will register your swimmer.  It is very important that you sign up for the correct roster during registration. 

REGISTRATION PROCESS – OPENING Wednesday, March 20th, 2023 - that’s next week!

1. March 20th – March 27th: All Current Members.

2. March 28th - April 2nd: All Previous Members

3. April 3rd: Waitlisted swimmers will be notified of openings and be able to Register

3. April 8th: First day of practice 

4. June 8nd: Last day of practice

FEE STRUCTURE

Fees include Wave participation fee only.  All members are also required to be USA Swimming members, if you are not a USA Swimming Member please contact Meghan at [email protected]. All swimmers on FV Wave for the Fall/Winter 23/24 season are USA Swimming Members through 12/31/2024.

PRACTICE TEAM MOVEMENT

We will still have 6 practice teams again. There will be very little movement between practice groups for going into the spring season. If you haven't been approached by your swimmer’s lead coach then you should register for the same group from fall/winter. 

SCHEDULE

We have also noticed that our pool space has already been getting a little crowded and wanted to make sure our current swimmers have enough space going forward.  Spring practices will be held at Appleton North HS and Neenah MS pools. We are very excited for each group to be able to spread out and use the whole pool for Spring Practices!

VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS

The Fox Valley Wave thrives due to the combined efforts of our coaches and parent volunteers to deliver on our team mission. To continue to succeed, it is essential that each family volunteers their time before and during home meets as needed.  Each family is expected to volunteer for a minimum of 2 slots our home swim meet to be held May 3rd-4th, 2024.

If you know you are unable to volunteer at the meet, opportunities to serve on the meet planning committee will be publicized and you can fulfill your requirement in this manner.  You will be required to track your time and have a board member verify your hours.  If you cannot or will not volunteer, you will be charged a $200 fee, invoiced to your account following the last meet volunteer opportunity.  

You will find additional clarification regarding these requirements as part of the registration process. Please take the time to read this section carefully, so you fully understand what the requirements are.
