Single Age State Meet Recap & What’s Next for STAR

Hi STAR Families,

I hope everyone is having a great week! I wanted to share an exciting recap from this past weekend and highlight what’s coming up next for our STAR community.

🌟 Single Age State Meet Recap

This weekend, Erica R. was the sole representative of STAR competing at the Single Age State Meet, and she delivered an outstanding performance.

Out of the 6 events she qualified for, Erica achieved 6 personal best times — a 100% improvement rate! 🎉
She placed 13th, 14th, 15th, 21st, 22nd, and 23rd, with each event featuring 60–70 swimmers.

This is an incredible achievement and a true reflection of her hard work, consistency, and dedication. Please join me in congratulating Erica on an amazing State Meet performance!

🔜 What’s Coming Next for STAR

1️⃣ Team Suit Fitting & Ordering

Tracy Kussmaul (Ellie’s mom) will be available for team suit try-ons and ordering on the following dates:

  • Monday, 12/15

  • Wednesday, 12/17

  • Friday, 12/19

⏰ Time: 5:00–6:30 PM
📍 Location: Pool hallway

All swimmers interested in ordering a team suit must submit their order (style: suit or jammer, and size) to me no later than noon on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, so we can place the team order on time.

🧢 Team caps are also available for purchase from Coach Jimmy at practice for $10.

2️⃣ Parent Information Sessions – This Wednesday

We will be holding multiple parent information sessions this Wednesday at the pool. These sessions are a great opportunity to:

  • Ask questions

  • Learn more about our program and future plans

  • Explore ways to get involved, including joining the board and helping shape the future of STAR

Each session will last approximately 30 minutes or less. Please plan to attend at least one session if possible.

Session times:

  • 5:00 – 5:30 PM

  • 5:30 – 6:00 PM

  • 6:00 – 6:30 PM
