Coming to START: Holiday Photos, Home Meet Updates & Volunteer Opportunities

Hi STAR Families,

Happy New Year! 
Thank you all for sharing your holiday pictures — we’ve attached some of the STAR family holiday photo entries to this email(due to limit of 5 attachments). We truly appreciate each and every one of you for being part of the STAR family, and we are excited to kick off another amazing year with our incredible swimmers and families.

 Glow-in-the-Dark STAR Tokens
As a thank-you, the glow-in-the-dark STAR tokens will be handed out starting Monday. We can’t wait for the swimmers to receive them!

 STAR Home Meet – January 24
Our STAR Home Meet will be held on January 24, and this is a very special event for our club. The meet will take place in the same pool where we practice, which makes it a comfortable and familiar environment for swimmers of all levels.

All swimmers are welcome to sign up — including our Red group swimmers. By then, everyone will be meet-ready, and this is truly the best opportunity to try a swim meet for the first time.
So far, 22 swimmers have committed, and we’d love to see even more participation!

We’ve also attached a Swim Meet 101 document to help new (or newer) families understand what to expect. If you still have questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

 Volunteers Needed – All Hands on Deck!
For our home meet to be successful, we really need everyone’s help. This meet is the largest source of income for our club and plays a critical role in keeping STAR strong and affordable for our families.

 NEW THIS MEET: Event Sponsorship Opportunity!
We’re excited to introduce a brand-new opportunity for this home meet! Families can now sponsor an event on the heat sheet.

• Write a short message to cheer on your swimmer or the team

• Your message will be published under the chosen event heading

• $20 sponsorship (Venmo, cash, or check payable to STAR)

• Deadline: January 16 (by midnight)
