STAR Home Meet Recap, Team Cheer & What’s Next
HI STAR families,
This Saturday, 33 swimmers represented our club and participated in our very own STAR Home Meet. As a team, we shaved off a total of 204 seconds, and out of 108 individual events, we achieved 68 new legal events or personal best times — that’s a 63% improvement rate as a team!
I hope everyone enjoyed the experience as much as we did. Please join me in congratulating our swimmers on this tremendous achievement — you all made us incredibly proud!
A huge thank you as well to all of our families. We truly could not have made this meet happen without your support.
⭐ STAR Tokens will be handed out during practices next week:
-
1 STAR per second dropped
-
1 STAR per relay swum
Let’s keep working hard and keep the STAR shining!
🎉 New Team Cheer!
During the home meet, we also tried out our new team cheer. Three of our key contributors — Addie C., Josie H., and Kylen C. — will each receive a Big STAR token as a thank-you for helping us bring a new cheer to life. The final version will be shared with the team soon.
In addition, each of these swimmers will also receive a shoe charm to put on their Crocs as a small token of appreciation.
🔭 Coming Next to STAR

There is still time to declare for the NBSC Meet if you or your swimmer enjoyed the home meet experience.
📅 Declaration deadline: January 27 -
We are planning a Team Picture Day, and we’re also hoping to pair it with a team practice / stroke clinic. More details coming soon!

We need your feedback!
As the season approaches the halfway point, we’d love to hear from you. Please take a few minutes to complete our short survey (no more than 5 minutes).
✨ Families who complete the survey — your swimmer will receive a limited-edition glow-in-the-dark STAR token. Swimmers can claim it with me at practice.
Lastly, a heartfelt thank you to every swimmer and every family for being part of STAR.
We’ll keep shining — together.
Thanks,
Coach Jimmy
