Tentative Relays:
10&U and 11-12 Tentative Relays will be communicated on Wednesday evening, July 28. As always: Team Wisconsin Coaches will always put the best possible relays together based on all information available and we reserve the right to make changes to relays up to the time of race.
Team Wisconsin Relay Policy:
Tentative A and B relays will be selected by the Lead Coach for each respective age group. Team WI will field the best possible relays to represent our state at the Zone level. Relays will be selected using a swimmer’s best time* up to and including swims completed at the Zone Meet. However, situations may arise where the coaching staff feels that an adjustment will lead to a better relay, and we reserve the right to select relays as we see fit.
*LCM times from a flat start will be considered, including relay lead-offs. Spots will be assigned based on a swimmer’s best time in an event, not how the swimmers may have placed in that event at either the State Championship Meet or at Zones. For example, if swimmer A has a best time of 30.20 and Swimmer B has a best time of 30.21, Swimmer B would need to go a 30.19 to be considered; simply beating Swimmer A at State or Zones would not affect the relay.
Team Theme:
TBD and will be communicated later this week.
Team Gear:
All athletes that still have to pick up team gear- the table will be set up on Thursday, August 5 starting at 1:00 PM. Coach Angela from Team Wisconsin and Kelly from Elsmore Aquatics will be two recognizable faces at the table. :)
*Please note: Every athlete will need to check in with the table to receive their team caps.
Athlete Uniform for the Meet:
Thursday is the White T-shirt. Red Team Cap
Friday is the Black T-Shirt. Red Team Cap
Saturday White T-Shirt. Silver Team Cap
Sunday is Black T-Shirt. Black Team Cap
Award Podium Uniform:
All Team WI Athletes that make it on the podium will be asked to wear T-Shirt of the Day, Warm up Jacket and Shorts. All 3 pieces must be present to represent on the podium. This is to abide by safe sport requirements for photography of athletes.
