MISSION

CC United Waterpolo Club exists to develop leadership, character, self-discipline, and habits of excellence through competitive aquatic sports regardless of socioeconomic level.

GOALS

To encourage athletes that want to achieve their maximum individual potential in a team environment. Foster individual leadership and character traits that will develop individuals who contribute positively to our community. Provide a well organized club program that promotes responsibility and competitive skills that may be applied to all aspects of the players life. Develop national champions and championship waterpolo teams at all age levels.

ORGANIZATION

CC United is organized to benefit athletes of all abilities and is operated in accordance with the standards and under the rules prescribed by FINA and USAWP. CCU is a member club (#19137) of the Pacific Zone (#6). CC United waterpolo club is a registered 501 3c nonprofit organization.CCU Waterpolo is a year-round USAWP club program that is offered on a seasonal basis and is open to any individual who wants to learn about the sport of water polo, develop new skills, and enhance their attained skill level. Prior water polo experience is not necessary, however we are not a swim team and do not provide swim instruction. CC United Waterpolo strives to establish a fun, educational, and positive environment; where players at all levels can improve their skills and compete at a local, regional, national or international basis. CC United Water polo provides experienced coaches that teach water polo fundamentals, as well as advanced strategy and skill execution. Strength and conditioning programs are developed and supervised by experienced personnel. Players are encouraged to develop swimming skills through continued participation with local swim programs. This approach will allow our players to continue to improve their level of play from age group level throughout high school and college to an international level.

TEAM

Current CCU Waterpolo participants are predominantly from the East Bay. While many of our athletes attend schools in the Lamorinda area, CCU Waterpolo is open to any individual wishing to participate in the program. Practice sessions are usually held at Soda Aquatic Center at Campolindo High School. and Acalanes High School.
