Cupid Classic Entry Deadline and More
Hey Team,
Wow! What a busy month January has been! I would like to thank our Board of Directors and Coaches Stephanie and Bailey for doing an awesome job keeping the club running and organized. The Winter Fiesta ran really well, given all of the restrictions that COVID has brought us. Thank you parents who helped out with the meet. We truly are a team and good team work gets things done! We have attended 3 meets so far in 2021 and the athletes have been doing great, especially those who attend all of their practices. Improvement only happens by go to and ‘practicing’ at practice. We have two more meets this season and I would like to see us have even more athletes participate.
The next one is the Cupid Classic in Cody on Saturday the 13th. It is only a one day meet with only us, Cody and Worland in attendance and fairly close. That online entry deadline is Monday February 1st. Don’t wait until the last minute! That meet falls between the PHS Boys Conference (Feb. 5) and State Championships (Feb. 19-20) so I will be able be there.
Powell Middle School swimming will be starting on Monday, February 8th so things will be a little hectic with three different teams using the same pool and some of the same coaches. At this point the middle school season (tentatively) will end on March 20. Our USA swimming season will will have its culminating meet February 27-28 with Big Horn Basin District Championship in Powell, since the Wyoming Winter Championship is canceled. Entries will be available soon.
I hope to keep us practicing until March 19th. I believe that the PAC will be closing after that for annual maintenance and cleaning. Spring/summer season will tentatively start around April 5th with our regular summer practice schedule, more about that later.
