Hey Team,

 

Spring is here, sort of! You know what that means? It is time for the PAC Triathlon and our highway clean up.

  • PAC Triathlon is Saturday May 29. Our team is responsible for timing and lap counting for the 500 swim. If you are not a triathlon participant, please be at the pool by 7:30 am to be assigned a lane. That part will only take about an hour depending on how many triathletes there are. Also, wear your team t-shirts or hoodies. (if you don’t have one yet let me know, I have t-shirts available for $12 sizes x-small – large. I will put a sign-up list on the bulletin board so that we know how many will be there.

  • Our semi-annual highway clean-up will start at 11:00 am the same day. Our team is part of the State Adopt-a-Highway Program. We have 2 miles of highway 294 that we pick up trash on twice a year. We need to have at least one parent for every 4 kids and the highway department provides safety vests and garbage bags. It shouldn’t take more than two hours. We will meet at the same place as usual (970 highway 294 (now my niece's house) by the bridge over Alkalai Creek)). I will have snacks and beverages at my house (25 Snakey Knob Loop) when we are done or you can get on with your holiday weekend. I will have a sign-up list on the bulletin board or you can reply to this email.

  • NO PRACTICE ON MONDAY MAY 31, SINCE THE POOL WILL BE CLOSED.

  • Summer State Long Course Championship is going to happen July 16, 17 and 18 in Gillette. Make your reservations soon if you are planning to go. I will send out a list of qualifiers so far.

  • We will be having a dual swim meet with Cody sometime in June. More on that later.

  • Summer Spectacular meet in Gillette is June 18-20

  • Buffalo meet is June 26-27.

  • I will be sending out the summer practice schedule as soon as I get confirmation from the PAC. There will only be a few slight adjustments to the current schedule and the addition of morning practice for the purple group.
