Summer State Results and More

Hey Team,

Well, the summer season is just flying by. Our team of 9 athletes had an awesome state meet! As a team we placed 9^th out of 19 teams and 2^nd place in Division 2. We had one State Champion, Nate Johnston, in the 100 meter breast.

Our 13-14 girls 200 medley relay and 200 free relay both placed 4^th and was made up of Kinley Cooley, Karee Cooley, Kaitlin Diver and Addy Powell. Great job ladies!

Not to be out done, our boys open 400 medley and 400 free relays both placed 2^nd. Those team members were Rui Parker, Nate Johnston, Gabe Rose and Kobus Diver. Greater job guys!

We had two Western Senior Zone Qualifiers, Nate Johnston in the 100 meter breast and Rui Parker in

the 100 meter back. They have both just returned from Clovis, California and the 2021 Arena Western

Zone Senior Championships, competing with teams from all of the western states. They went as

members of Team Wyoming Allstars. Nate swam the 200 breast, 200 IM and the 100 breast and Rui

swam the 100 back. It was a great experience and both athletes encourage there fellow teammates to

train hard and try to make the zone cuts.

As the season winds down we have several events coming up.

I think that we will cancel the remaining morning practices since there is no interest.

Thursday August 5^th purple group will go on a bike ride, Airport Hill?

Friday August 13th will be our final practice of the summer season.

Saturday August 14th will be our annual Heart Mountain Hike. Meet at the visitors cabin and trailhead at 7:00 am.

Saturday August 21st is our annual fundraiser, the Sugar Beet Classic Triathlon. We need everybody (who is not competeing) to help out with lap counting, corner guards, etc. A sign-up list will soon be posted on our web site.
