USA Swimming Member 

 

By becoming a USA Swimming member, swimmers will be able to compete in a more serious/competitive setting. Instead of only competing with other YMCA’s in San Diego, swimmers have the opportunity to compete against other club teams in San Diego, along with opportunities to compete against any USA club in the Nation! USA Swim meets are officiated, and the official times swimmers receive from meets are able to be carried with them for their whole swim career. USA swimming creates seasoned athletes and creates more of a drive in swimmers to strive for growth in their swimming development. 

Benefits: 

  • Times are stored in the USA Swimming SWIMS database, allowing athletes to qualify for competitions, monitor improvement, and participate in recognition programs. 

  • Officiated and smoothly ran swim meets. 

  • Swimming against Club Teams in the area and a stronger competitive field. 

  • Year-round participation in USA Swimming sanctioned meets and the ability to qualify and participate in LSC Championships, Sectionals, Zones, Futures, Junior Nationals, National Championships, U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Swimming and the Olympics. 

  • Eligible to be selected for the National Junior Team and National Team Development Programs. 

  • Eligible to be selected or qualify for USA Swimming national and regional camps. 

 

How to sign up for USA Swimming 

  1. Contact Coach Joni to get set up on Team Unify (On Deck App) 

 

  1. Once you have a Team Unify account, please go to usaswimming.org and create a PARENT account. 

 

 

  1. Once you have created a Parent account, please LOG OUT and send Coach Joni an email that you are ready to receive the USA Link from Team Unify 

 

  1. Click the link, and continue to enter your SWIMMERS information. 

 

 

  1. Select membership: Premium Athlete 

 

  1. Check your calendar to prepare for your First USA Swim Meet!!!
