YMCA OFFICIAL CLASS - LEVEL 1 AND 2

Hello, 

Please consider becoming a YMCA official, no swim experience is necessary. 

 

Swim Official Level 1 class will be on Wednesday, October 18th from 5:00 pm-8:30 am - $50.00- at Farmington Valley Branch YMCA 79 Salmon Brook Street Granby, CT 06035

New candidates for certification as a YMCA Level I Official must be at least 21 years old and be associated with a local YMCA-sponsored swim team.

USA-S Certified Officials who meet age and participation requirements for Level II may go directly into Level II without first becoming a Level I Certified Official.

Candidates for re-certification must have worked at least 12 sessions as a YMCA-certified official over the prior three-year certification period and present a completed Record of Meet Experience form evidencing such sessions worked.

 

Swim Official Level 2 class will be on Wednesday, October 25th from 5:00 pm-8:30 pm - $50.00- at Farmington Valley Branch YMCA 97 Salmon Brook Street Granby, CT 06035

New candidates for certification as a YMCA Level II Official must have been a fully Certified YMCA Level I Official for at least one year, have worked a minimum of eight sessions as a YMCA Certified Official and present a completed Record of Meet Experience form

evidencing such sessions worked. In addition, as with Level I officials, the candidate must be at least 21 years old and be associated with a local YMCA sponsored swim team.

USA-S Certified Officials who meet age and participation requirements for Level II may go directly into Level II without first becoming a Level I Certified Official.

The classes are posted and open for enrollment in the Learning & Career Development Center(LCDC) on  yexchange.org.  All participants who want YMCA certification must register for the class through LCDC on yexchange which requires them to first set up their own LCDC profile.
