Hi everybody,
Today I will cover Michael Phelps's most famous period: 2005-2008.
In 2008, at the Beijing Olympic Games, Michael gave the world the most spectacular performance an athlete can give, winning 8 gold medals in 8 events. Lots of stories before and during the Games that I want to touch, starting with his preparation for the game. And to make "a little" harder, Phelps would have to race 16 times in his quest for the medals (prelims, semi-finals, and finals) in a one week period... non stop warmup/race/cool down...
After the 2004 Games, Michael was poised to win all 8 events at the 2008 Games. With that, came a training regimen (swimming practices, lifting practices, psychological preparation, nutrition, etc) that was all towards his performances on that one week of competition at the 2008 Games. 100% focus in every single detail, because as you will see, every single tiny detail would matter at the games.
No races today, just other stuff.
Enjoy.

Michael's "diet" (2005-2008) - reminder that he was still growing, and practicing 6 hours/day, 6 days/week. As he got older, the number of calories (especially carbs) went down considerably.
