Meet Overview

USA Swimming & Connecticut Swimming sanctioned championship meet

Open to Connecticut LSC swimmers only who meet qualifying time standards

All swimmers must be 2026 USA Swimming registered (no FLEX memberships)
Important Dates & Deadlines

Entry Deadline: Sunday, Feb. 22, 2026 – 6:00 PM
-
Late Qualifier Deadline: Sunday, March 1, 2026 – 11:59 PM
-
Correction Deadline: Monday, March 2, 2026 – 5:00 PM
-
Scratch Deadlines: Daily at 5:30 PM for the following day’s events
-
Distance Event Check-In:
-
Thursday distance events: No check-in required
-
Sunday distance events (1000/1650): Required by posted deadlines
-
Missing deadlines may result in scratches, fines, or removal from events.
Session Schedule (Subject to Change)
Prelims (Fri–Sun):

Warm-up: 6:30 AM
-
Start: 8:30 AM
Finals (Thu–Sun):

Warm-up: 3:30 PM
-
Start: 5:00 PM
Distance events may occur outside standard sessions.
Entry Limits

Maximum 3 individual events per day
-
Maximum 9 individual events for the meet

Bonus events allowed under specific rules (coach managed)
Fees (Typical)

Individual Event: $15
-
Team Fee $15.00 per swimmer
-
Relay: $24
-
Time Trial: $20 (individual)
Additional fees may apply for late changes, corrections, or deck entries.
Scratch Rules (Very Important)
Failure to scratch properly can result in:

Being barred from remaining events that day
-
Removal from future events
-
Possible fines or meet disqualification
Parents should always notify the coach immediately if a swimmer cannot attend a session.
Distance Events (400 IM, 500, 1000, 1650)

Some distance events require positive check-in
-
Swimmers must provide their own timers and counters (except finals)
Relays
-
Relay participation requires positive check-in
-
Relay-only swimmers are limited (coach assigned)

Relays are swum during evening finals
Facility & Spectator Information

Limited spectator seating
-
No folding chairs allowed
-
Swimmers must change only in locker rooms
-
No shaving on premises
-
Cell phones not permitted in locker rooms or changing areas
-
Parking only in designated spaces (towing enforced)
-
Meet will not be livestreamed
Athlete Conduct & Safety

Coaches must be present on deck
-
Athletes must follow USA Swimming Safe Sport rules

Unsportsmanlike conduct may result in removal from the meet
Awards & Scoring
-
Medals for 1st–3rd place
-
Individual and team high-point awards
-
Team scores tracked for Men, Women, and Combined teams
What Parents Can Do to Help

Ensure you are ready to volunteer.

Ensure swimmer arrives on time for warm-ups
-
Communicate absences early
-
Help swimmers stay hydrated and fueled

Be patient—championship meets are long days
