The Mid-County YMCA is home to the Hammerheads Swim Team which was established in 2015. Beginning with a very strong core of talented swimmers, the team has since tripled. The Hammerheads have gone on to be serious competitors in the Saint Louis and tri-state areas. In their first year, they have set out and accomplished several of their goals including the hosting of their first meet and qualifying their first swimmer for the YMCA Area Championship. The MCFY coaching staff feels confident that they will continue to be a harbor for young, dedicated swimmers and provide them with the technique-based training they need to succeed in the swim world.
