ACE Training Groups

Lancer - Intro: (old Red)
- Idealy be able to complete 25 yards of back and 50 yards of free.
- All Lancer group swimmers should aim to be at 2 practices a week totaling 2 hour of instruction.
- Ages 6-9 typically
- Focus on stroke fundamentals and "legal" proficiency

Ghostrider - White: (old Green)
- Ideally a Ghostrider can swim at least three of these times a 50 Fly under 1:07.00, 50 Back under 1:07.00, 50 Breast under 1:17.00, 50 Free under 57.00, and swim a 100 Free without stopping.
- All Ghostrider group swimmers should aim to be at 2 practices a week totaling 2 hours of instruction.
- Ages 6-9 typically
- Focus on stroke fundamentals and "legal" proficieny
- Opportunities to compete in swim meets

Thunderbolt - Blue: (old Orange)
- Ideally a Thunderbolt can swim at least three of these times a 50 Fly under 53.00, 50 Back under 53.00, 50 Breast under 1:02.00, 50 Free under 45.00, and swim a 200 Free without stopping.
- All Thunderbolt group swimmers should aim to be at 3 practices a week totaling 3 hours of instruction.
- Ages 8-11 typically
- Focus on stroke fundamentals and "legal" proficieny
- Opportunities to compete in swim meets

Strike Eagle - Navy Blue: (old Blue)
- Ideally a Strike Eagle can swim at least three of these times a 50 Fly under 45.00, 50 Back under 45.00, 50 Breast under 51.00, 50 Free under 36.00, and finish a 500 Free without stopping.
- All Strike Eagle group swimmers should aim to be at 3 to 4 practices a week totaling 4.5 to 6 hours of instruction.
- Ages 11-14 typically
- Opportunities to compete in swim meets

Viper - Black: (old Gold)
- Ideally a Viper can swim at least three of these times a 50 Fly under 37.00, 50 Back under 37.00, 50 Breast under 43.00, 50 Free under 31.00, and finish a 1000 Free without stopping.
- All Viper group swimmers should aim to be at 4 to 5 practices a week totaling 6 to 7.5 hours of instruction.
- Ages 10-12 typically with multiple seasons of competitive swimmimg experience.
- Focus on stoke refinement and training skills
- Opportunities to compete in swim meets

Lightning - Advanced:
- A Lightning group swimmer will have at least one Senior State cut and be able to finish a 1650 Free without stopping.
- All Lightning group swimmers should aim to be at 5 to 6 practices a week totaling 7.5 to 9.5 hours of instruction.
- Ages 12-16 typically with multiple seasons of competitive swimming experience.
- Focus on edurance, speed and effective, and training skills
- Expected to compete in swim meets

Raptor - Elite:
- A Raptor will have at least one USA sectionals meet cut time.
- A Raptor group swimmer must make every practice.
- Ages 14 and up typically with multiple seasons of competive swimming experience.
- Focus on endurance, speed and refinement of strokes and training skills
- Expected to compete in swim meets with higher level of competition
