The Bellevue Hurricanes offers training and practice groups for swimmers of all ages and ability levels. It is the goal of the Bellevue Hurricanes to offer age specific training for all of our athletes geared towards challenging each individual and developing each individual to the best of THEIR abilities.

Beginner

Swimmers must be able to swim one length of the pool using freestyle.  Athletes in this group focus mainly on learning four legal competitive strokes, having fun, and perfecting start and turn technique. Competing in YMCA swim meets are encouraged but optional for this group.

Workout Days/Times: Tuesday/Thursday 5:00 p.m.-5:45 p.m. 

Intermediate 

Swimmers must be able to swim one length of the pool freestyle and at least two other stroke. Athletes in this group focus mainly on building endurance while learning four legal competitive strokes, having fun, and perfecting start and turn technique.  Competing in YMCA swim meets is highly encouraged for this group.  Competing in USA swim meets is suggested for some swimmers at this level.

Workout Days/Times: Tuesday/Thursday: 5:45 p.m.-6:30 p.m. 

Advanced

Swimmers must be able to swim freestyle, backstroke, and breaststroke efficiently, while also being familiar with butterfly. This group should not take much technique tweaking, rather it would be endurance focused. Swiimmers will improve on distance swimming and learn competitive level swimming.

Workout Days/Times: Tuesday/Thursday: 6:30 p.m.-7:15 p.m.
