Becoming an official is a great way to learn more about the sport and keep yourself busy during long swim meets. You can build some great friendships with fellow officials and be apart of a very professional and fun volunteer organization. Other benefits include:

- Its a great way to help represent the YMCA of Snohomish County at meets.

- You get good food in hospitality.

- While they do look very professional down there, they have lots of fun.

- You’re close to the action, not up in the stands.

What does it take to become an official or learn more about it
While there are a number of steps to take, the first step to becoming a YMCA swimming official is very very easy. Just let your swimmers coach know that you would like to be apart of the action.  We will get a clinic scheduled and get you certified.
