Nova Swim League Meets

Nova Swim League Meets are a fun, short series of intrasquad (only Nova swimmers from all Nova locations) swim meets for novice swimmers to experience and learn about swim meets. It provides a fun, no pressure environment for swimmers in Bronze, and Developmental Nova 1, 2, 3, 4 and Nova Intro. These meets are not designed for swimmers looking to achieve time standard goals as much as they are designed for swimmers to learn to race in a friendly, competitive environment.

If your athlete is unable to attend their assigned meet day, they may compete the other day, but not score points for their team.  We have two distance meets available, which offer the longer events for our swimmers.

If you have any questions regarding the upcoming competition schedule feel free to contact your child's coach, we are all here to help make this a successful Spring/Summer season.

About the Nova Swim League

Swimmers are divided up into teams based on recent meet performance and to create balance among teams. A “Start, Stroke, and Turn Clinic” will then be offered where the swimmers will be divided into their teams. This clinic will not only provide lessons on technique, but a way for the swimmers to meet their teammates and coaches for the Dual Meets to follow.

Dual meets are designed to last between 2-3 hours including warm up. These short meets are meant to be fun, team-oriented, and exciting events to get the swimmers in the mind set of competition. It also helps them to learn how swim meets flow and helps them get used to heat and lane assignments and how to get to the starting blocks on time.
