Welcome to Swim Lessons

What New Swim Lesson Families Need to Know

  • Location

All lessons take place at the Indian Creek High School Natatorium.

  • Parking & Pool Access

Where should we park?

Please park in the back parking lot near the Fieldhouse at Indian Creek High School.

How do we get to the pool?

From the Fieldhouse parking lot, walk toward the Natatorium entrance. Just to the right of the main Natatorium doors, enter through door 25W.

  • Facility & Equipment

Are locker rooms available?

Yes. Men's and women's locker rooms are available for changing before and after lessons.

What equipment should we bring?

We provide all equipment needed for lessons. Goggles are strongly encouraged (but not required) as they can help swimmers feel more comfortable in the water. Goggles that cover the nose are not recommended, as they can interfere with learning proper breathing techniques.

  • Parent Observation

Can parents stay and watch?

Absolutely! Once you've dropped your child off at their assigned lane, you're welcome to watch from the Observation Deck above the pool, which offers a great view of the entire lesson.

  • Lesson Procedures

First Day of Lessons

Arrive a few minutes early and check in with Nicole. She will introduce you to your child's instructor and direct you to your assigned lane.

All Future Lessons

Please arrive on the pool deck 1-2 minutes before class begins. If your child uses floaties and there are some available in the basket, you may place them on your child's arms ahead of time to help with a smooth transition into the pool. Wait near your assigned lane for class to start.

Last Day of Lessons

The final day is still focused on learning, but swimmers will get a few extra minutes at the end of class for fun activities like jumping in or diving for toys. Please meet your swimmers at their lane to receive their progress report from their instructor.
