Hempfield Aqua Club is a parent-run, year-round competitive swim club with over 100 members from the ages of 5 to 18.  The goal of our team is to provide every member an opportunity to improve swimming skills and achieve success at his or her level of ability.

The club offers three basic levels of swimming development- Beginner, Intermediate, & Advanced- to meet the needs of all types of active swimmers.  Each swimming level is offered a specific number of training hours at the pool per week.  All practices are held at Hempfield Area High School.  While it is not expected that each swimmer attend every session, swimmers benefit the most when they take advantage of the practices.

Good sportsmanship is required at all practices as well as competitions. By promoting these concepts of competitive swimming, the club will act as a feeder program for the Hempfield Middle School Swim Team and the Hempfield High School Varsity Swim Team.

**Note this is not a learn to swim program, but we will teach advanced strokes.  We will also further develop basic strokes, starts and turns.  Pool times are available for club participation most every weekday evening.  You choose the days you come, 1 day a week or every day, when the pool is available.

If you are interested in a learn to swim program, please contact Hempfield Parks & Recreation. Lessons are offered throughout the year.  Please visit Hempfield Parks & Rec Program Catalog.

The Hempfield Aqua Club (HAC) is a parent-run organization, any questions and all issues should be directed towards a HAC official.

  • When school is cancelled, Aqua Club is cancelled.
  • Please review our website (Google search Hempfield Aqua Club) for any changes to our schedule. We will also distribute an email when issues or changes arise.
  • Due to Insurance Liability, no parent or family member is permitted on the pool deck during practice or dual meets unless they are a HAC official or parent/family volunteer.
  • It is the parent's responsibility to confirm their child is signed up for swim meets. Sign up at team unify website & adhere to all deadlines as no late entries will be accepted.
  • We would appreciate at least 48 hour notice if you need to cancel out of a meet. Please email us @ [email protected] to cancel.

  • We encourage parents and family members to help enforce and lead by example with good sportsmanship.
  • All decisions regarding which events your child will swim at the meets are based on coach's assessment.
  • If you have concerns about your child, please address them with an officer who will then set up a time for you to speak with a coach.  Coaches are very busy during practice times and will not be able to meet with parents to discuss progress unless a brief meeting is scheduled with an officer.  As always, please email concerns if an officer is not present at the time of concern.
  • HAC complies with indoor capacity limits for the pool and mask policy as per Hempfield Area School District.  Parents must be active managers of their children and ensure they understand and respect the safety of others at all times.  Parents are always responsible for the actions of their children. (When Covid protocol is enforced, HAC will not provide masks to members. Members without masks will be asked to leave. Officer Elections

A HAC official holds a two year term/commitment. New officer elections are held in the spring of the second term with the new officer's announced at our year end banquet.  To be nominated, your child must swim all 3 sessions and you are willing to commit the time and effort necessary to make our club a success.

I have read the Hempfield Aqua Club handbook and Swimmer's Etiquette guide. I agree to the rules and guidelines set forth.
