Hempfield Aqua Club (HAC) Welcomes You!

Your child’s practice time will be:

Beginner: 5:15 - 6:00 PM        Intermediate: 6:00 - 7:30 PM      Advanced: 6:00 - 8:00 PM

Practice: Your child may start practicing with us long as Registration and Payment are completed online before he/she enters the pool.  Practices are generally Monday thru Thursday evenings.  You may choose to send your child as often as you’d like.  Please check the website often for schedule updates and a meet schedule.

Email: Emails will be sent regularly, so please provide a current email address.  These emails will include information regarding practice, meets, and other club news.

Suits: Team suits are mandatory for meets.  They are royal blue with a silver spartan head, and may be purchased at Swimmers Network on Rt. 30 in Latrobe.  Cash and credit cards are accepted by Swimmer's Network.  One piece bathing suits must be worn at practice. Please discourage your child from wearing his/her team suit at practice...save it for the meets. Female swimmers must wear swim caps at practice and during meets.  Caps are optional for male swimmers.  Please make sure your child is prepared for practices with a towel, goggles, and clothes to change into after practice.  Most swimmers change in the locker rooms; some put dry clothes on over their suits.

Equipment: Required: All swimmers should have goggles, cap, and towel.  Additional recommended equipment include:

EQUIPMENT BEGINNER INTERMEDIATE ADVANCED

Cap and Goggles X X X

Safety: No swimmer is permitted to exit the pool area without being dressed.  Per school and club policy, and for the safety of all involved, swimmers must be wearing CLOTHING and SHOES in the hallway.

Meets: You may sign up for meets on the website.  You should receive meet information in an email soon. We are a competitive swim club, your swimmer is required to compete to be a member of this club (2 meet minimum).  If your swimmer plans to swim at the championship meet, he/she needs to swim the required number of meets for that season.  More meet requirement information can be found on our About tab.

Volunteering: All families are required to volunteer during at least 2 meets each season (Fall/Winter/Summer). Volunteer and job descriptions are on the website.  Parents are NOT PERMITTED to be on the deck at any time, other than the times you are specifically fulfilling your volunteer obligations.

Donations: All home meets have a concession stand.  We ask each family to donate a concession item at each home meet your swimmer(s) attends.  This is not part of the volunteer requirement, this is a donation.
