Monthly Sign-In for April:  https://forms.gle/99bs6tnpavJcQ1ji8

Congratulations:  This weekend’s Spring Equinox meet featured 81 CAC swimmers (See results HERE).  One of the most encouraging outcomes of this meet were the number of young athletes who took on tough first-time events.  9 year old Mason Baker braved his first 200 butterfly and landed within a few seconds of a team record.  Taking on their first 500s were Jeremiah Haas, Elizabeth Rhodus, and Lillian Amundson.

Scholarships:  Karson Kolberg and Maria Girbacea were both named as recipients of the Central Area Scholarship!

Two new team records were set:

Khalyse Rollins:  10U 50 Breast, 37.51 (previous record held by Anna Keen, 2020)

Mason Baker: 10U 100 IM, 1:19.25 (previous record held by Eli Hobson, 2016)

Motivational "A" Time Standards Achieved:

Mason Baker - “A” time 100 IM and 50 Free

Hannah Cooper - “AA” time 400 IM

Khalyse Rollins - “AAA” time 50 Breast

Natalie Shaw - “AA” time 50 Free

Nate Shockley - “AA” time 50 Free

And Finally: To our volunteers a special THANK YOU!  While this was not a CAC hosted meet we are VERY thankful to all who stepped up to fill the needed jobs.  Especially, thank you to the officials and computer table individuals who made it possible to double end this meet, thereby cutting three hours from its length.  Thanks to the following officials:  Stacey Mank, Divina Cunningham, Emily Rhodus, Ron Trembath, Marva Koncaba and Amber Lowell.  Thanks to our computer table personnel: Kizzy Rollins, Michelle Shicks, Jenny Russian and Tommy Rhodus. Finally, Head Timers Melissa Trembath and Karen Shockley.  VERY SPECIAL THANKS to Wendy Kolberg who stepped in as entries chair and organized many aspects of this meet and was the first to arrive and last to leave.

Practice Plan:  Practices return to their normal schedule this week except:

  • Pools are closed on Monday for Seward’s Day so no practice
  • The lessons level 3 group will now begin at 5:00 PM and end at 5:45 PM M-TH.
  • Friday is a celebration of Coach Tucker’s birthday.  Swimmers Bronze and up are invited in to swim 72 x (25, 50 or 100 as is appropriate).

NEW:  CAC Boosters has created a team store at Swim Outlet to assist families looking for swim equipment.  There is no mandate to buy from Swim Outlet but it is there to help you sort out recommended products.
