What do your dues pay for? CAC has always been committed to providing swim programs for children and athletes at the most reasonable possible cost. Like any business or non-profit, the cost of running our programs includes significant payroll and facility lease costs, mandated paid leave, liability insurances, worker's compensation insurance, required staff trainings, taxes, credit card processing fees, cleaning and maintenance supplies, training supplies, among others. We appreciate our members contribution to keeping our program up and going for the benefit of the community. Thank you!
How does Booster Club fundraising fit? While CAC, LLC is the business operator, CAC, Boosters is a non-profit organization that supports the needs of our club. CAC, Boosters fundraising efforts are a big part in keeping swimming up and running statewide and act to keep overall dues and fees to our members as low as possible. The booster club focuses on athlete/coach travel, capital purchases (think higher cost timing equipment, blocks, scoreboards, destro towers, monitors, lesson docks), team activities, supplements for high lease costs, official/volunteer certification, among others.
What is KNIK Learn to SWIM? KNIK learn to swim is also a non-profit that specifically supports costs related to our lesson program. KNIK learn to swim possesses a gaming license with the state of Alaska.
