WHAT Community Aquatics:
About the Program:

The Woodland Hills Aquatic Team (WHAT) provides residents of the Woodland Hills School District and surrounding communities the opportunity to enjoy the use of pool during designated times for recreational swimming. 

WHAT Community Open Swim:

The WHAT Community Open Swim program provides residents of the Woodland Hills School District and surrounding communities the opportunity to enjoy the pool with family and friends. WHAT Community Open Swims will be scheduled several times a year and take place on Saturday mornings from 10:30AM-12:00PM. One lane will be available for lap swimming. Lap swimmers must be able to swim continuous lengths of the pool and safely share a lap lane with other swimmers of varying ability and speed. Attendance is limited and Lifeguards are on duty.

WHAT Community Open Swim Information: 

  • Swimmers under 6 must have a registered adult over 18 in the water with them at all times.
  • All Swimmers under 18 must have an adult present.
  • Unaccompanied minors are not permitted.
  • All Swimmers must be registered to attend.
    • Only those registered are permitted on the pool deck.
    • Non-registered spectators are permitted in the spectator seating balcony area.
    • There are no refunds.
    • Registrations cannot be transferred to another swimmer on the day of the Open Swim
  • Lifeguards are on Duty to ensure pool safety. Swimmers not following the lifeguards' directions will be asked to leave the pool area immediately.

WHAT Community Open Swim Fees: 

  • $5 = Swimmers - Adult (18 years old and UP)
  • $5 = Swimmers 7-17 years old
  • $3 = Swimmers 3 - 6 years old (Must have an adult over 18 with them in the water at all times)
  • .50 Cents = Swimmers 2 years old or Younger (Must have an adult over 18 with them in the water at all times)

WHAT Community Open Swim Date/Time:

  • Saturday, November 4th from 10:30AM-12:00PM
  • Saturday, January 20th from 10:30AM-12:00PM
  • Saturday, March 16th from 10:30AM-12:00PM

WHAT Locker Room Use Policy: 

  • ​​All registered swimmers participating in WHAT Community Open Swims are permitted in the locker rooms regardless of age. Registered swimmers under 18 are the responsibility of the adult who accompanies them to the facility.
  •  During swim team or lessons Adults are Not Permitted in the locker rooms. In accordance with USA Swimming Safe Sport policies, our locker rooms are only open to swimmers under 18 years old when unaccompanied minors are using the locker rooms for swim team or lessons.

The Woodland Hills Aquatic Team (WHAT) follows the guidelines and rules set by the CDC, the Allegheny County Health Department and the Woodland Hills School District. An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. By attending and participating in the WHAT Swim School program, attendees voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.
