Welcome to the 2023 Season!

Dolphins Exec have been planning for months for a full slate swim season with a whole lot of fun mixed into training! Like last year, we are excited to run the 2023 Season under the leadership of Head Coach Megan Johnston, as well as coaches Lauren Eusanio and Devon Stockall.  

SAVE THE DATE(S):   A calendar of swim meet dates and swim club events/activities is in draft form - we hope to have this out to you by mid-February!  Expect a full slate of swim meets through June and July to prepare for Regionals (Aug 12/13) and Provincials (Aug 18-20) in August.
 
For now - please mark your calendars for:
Swimwear Sizing Evening: April 4th
Bottle Drive:  April 29th
Parent Engagement Evening:  May 9th
Devon Swim Meet: July 8th (possibly July 7th & 8th - stay tuned!)
 
REGISTRATION FEES: Registration fees, sponsorship, and fundraising activities are necessary to cover all coaching costs, pool rental, DDSC swimwear, required ASSA membership, insurance, meet fees, and incidentals.

PAYMENT: Payment will be accepted by e-transfer or cheque.  Fundraising and volunteer deposits will be required by cheque - which can be mailed in, or given in person on April 4th at the Swimwear Sizing Evening.

DDSC SWIM WEAR: April 4th there will be a Swimwear Sizing Evening at the Community Centre.  You will be required to sign up for a designated time; a link will be sent out with more details post-registration.  All swim-wear will will be ordered shortly after this event.   

DDSC SPIRIT WEAR: Options for Spirit Wear and order details will be available at the Swimwear Sizing Evening.

PARENT ENGAGEMENT MEETING: We have a Parent Engagement Evening scheduled for May 9th.  Please plan to attend as this is an opportunity for us to connect, highlight the plans and goals for the season, review the calendar of events, and explore opportunities for parent support and involvement. More details will be provided post-registration.

MEET FEES: Note, there is the possibility that we may be required by Swim Alberta to pay meet fees (an entrance fee required for each swimmer registered at each swim meet).  Details will be shared when available.
 
COVID-19: The health, safety, and well-being of our swimmers is of utmost importance. Please note that swim club operation may be impacted by changing covid-19 restrictions. As a member of the Alberta Summer Swimming Association (ASSA), we are required to follow any Covid-19 guidelines established by ASSA or Alberta Health Services.  If there are any changes, you will be notified accordingly.
 
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE:  Should you be in need of financial assistance in order to access this activity, individual child grants can be accessed via  Jump Start or  Kid Sport.
