What to Expect At A Swim Meet
Timeline:
Meet start times are available on PDFs available on the "Events" tab. Timelines will also often be available before a meet. However, please remember all timelines are tentative and things may move faster or slower than listed.
**Swimmers should arrive 15 minutes before warmups to have enough time to park, find the team, and get ready to hop in the pool.
Location
The location information can be found on the PDF of the meet information on the "Events" tab. Please pay attention to the location and any parking information listed as there are often no parking zones, etc. Coaches will also send out any additional instructions/information if needed.
What To Bring:
- Swimsuit, Life Time cap, and goggles! Life Time caps are available for purchase for anyone who needs one (extra suit, cap, and goggles are also recommended just in case)
- Towels (at least one towel for every event)
- Healthy Snacks (fruit, crackers, granola bars, veggies, etc)
- Lots and lots of water! Please save sodas and other sugary drinks for the end of the day :)
- T-shirts, flip flops/shoes, and sunscreen (for warm months)
- Sweatpants, sweatshirts, parkas, socks, close-toed shoes or warm boots (for colder months)
- Cash and a Sharpie for buying heat sheets and writing down heat/lane assignments
- Folding chairs/blankets to sit on
- Pop-up tents/EZ-ups for shade
- Something to keep the swimmers entertained! We recommend card games, books, coloring books, or even homework for the older kids.
