Our Coaching Staff
Tyler Fox Head Coach & Scottsdale Head Site Coach

Coach Tyler has been with Life Time Arizona Swim Team in Scottsdale since 2014.

Coach Tyler believes training should be fun, challenging, and goal-oriented to be successful. He also believes no one achieves greatness on their own and communicates an “all in for each other” approach with his training groups. He works to help athletes understand how practice performance prepares them for meet performance. His emphasis on developing all aspects of technique, utilizing race pace training, and developing a mindset for success has led to the development of many athletes ranked Top 10 in the country.  He believes a person’s character, not their talent, is the greatest determiner of their success, and strives to help his athletes embrace the types of personal changes that produce winning character.

Prior to coaching with Life Time, Coach Tyler was the Senior Group Coach @ Scottsdale Aquatic Club (2009-20014), Head Site Coach for Swim Neptune @ DC Ranch (2006-2009), and an Assistant Coach for Pinnacle High School (2008-2009) and Horizon High School (2001-2003, 2006-2007).  He was Head Coach of Scottsdale Christian Academy Swimming from 2011-2019. His career as a swimmer with Scottsdale Aquatic Club (1993-2000) and Horizon High School (Class of 2001) gave him an excellent foothold in the sport.

She has been coaching and instructing swim teams for over 15 years. So far in her coaching career, she has worked with National, Age Group, and Sectional Champions. Dempski is passionate about sharing her love of this sport. She is dedicated to helping each swimmer reach their potential and exceed their goals. Her coaching philosophy includes building confidence, growing leaders, working hard and having fun.

Trevor Moore Head Site Coach - Happy Valley

Coach Trevor was born and raised in Phoenix, AZ, where he developed an early love for the water. Growing up in a family that valued both fitness and determination, Trevor grew up going to the pool everyday while his mom taught swimming lessons.

What started as a family sport, quickly turned into a passion where Trevor spent 15 years teaching kids how to learn to swim. During this time, he ventured to different avenues at swim and found his niche through dive where he competitively dove for Shadow Mountain High School and the Clavadistas Del Sol club diving team.

After quickly realizing that there were limited teams available to his swim lessons students in the area, he assisted in starting a recreational swim team, became the head coach in 2014 and transformed the swim team into a U.S.A Swimming sanctioned club team.

Under Coach Trevor’s leadership, Desert Foothills Aquatics experienced significant success, consistently breaking personal and team records while sending swimmers to state level championships and up to the collegiate level of competitive swim.

Coach Trevor was the assistant coach for the Cactus Shadows High School Swim and Dive team from 2017-2021where he coached the girls team to a 3rd place team finish in 2020 with multiple State Champions and podium finishers.

Beyond personal bests and championships, Coach Trevor’s greatest pride lies in the lasting relationships he’s built with his swimmers, creating a positive and supportive culture that extends far beyond the pool.

Coach Trevor believes that swimming is not just a sport but a way of life – a philosophy he passes on to every athlete he trains, helping them unlock their full potential both in and out of the pool.

Thalia Tate Head Site Coach - Palm Valley
Hayden Jacobs Head Site Coach - Tempe

Hayden started swimming at 14 years old and quickly fell in love with the sport. He Swam at Life Time Palm Valley and competed as the team captain for the Verrado High School 2020 AIA State Champion Team. Hayden found coaching to be a great opportunity and joined Life Time in 2019. In 2020, he became the head coach of Life Time Palm Valley after quickly increasing the size of the program.

Currently, while persuing Mathematics at ASU and achieving his Airline Transport Pilot rating at Leopard Aviation, he is now the Head Senior Coach at our Tempe facility. They have worked to develop some of the top performing swimmers in the state who are working on making their marks toward national competition one day at a time.

Using the skills from studying advanced mathematics, Hayden studies the sport in more modern methods to improve development of athletes without creating long term exaustion. Focused on individualization in each event during practice so each swimmer can swim to their strengths.

Hayden believes that a fast swimmer has a strong mind first. He encourages everyone to work on their heart and mind, then everything else will follow.

Angelo Martins Assistant Coach - Gilbert

Coach Angelo started his swim career at the Greenwich Boys and Girls Club in Greenwich, CT. He loved the challenging workouts, team camaraderie, and travel meets, but he learned early that his true passion was with the coaching aspect of swimming. Coach Angelo would often arrive early to assist with younger groups, and it wasn't long before he was coaching on his own.  Angelo has been coaching in Arizona for more than 20 years and has had the privilege to work so many remarkable swimmers and families. He has experience working with the novice swimmer, State Champion & Record Holders, Sectional swimmers, and several swimmers who have gone on to compete at Olympic Trials.  Angelo's coaching philosophy embraces the whole swimmer. He believes that practices should be fun, focus on goals, and provide opportunities for swimmers to push out of their comfort zone. He believes swimmers should be engaged as a team, but that it is important to make time for individual attention at every practice. Angelo often talks to his swimmers about goals, nutrition, and their loves outside of swimming. Most importantly, Angelo encourages the family to stay connected, highly encourages parent involvement, and welcomes questions from parents.  Away from the pool, Coach Angelo is a 4th grade teacher in Gilbert. He is married and has five children/stepchildren. He enjoys camping, hiking, listening to music, and hopes to publish a book someday.

Edwin Ramos Assistant Coach - Gilbert

With over 20 years of coaching experience, I have dedicated my career to the development and growth of young swimmers at both the Junior High and High School levels. Throughout the years, I’ve had the privilege of guiding athletes through the fundamentals of the sport, as well as preparing them for competitive success—both in and out of the pool. In addition to coaching, I served as a certified USA Swimming Stroke and Turn Judge for six years, gaining a deeper

understanding of the technical standards and rules that govern the sport. This experience has enhanced my ability to coach swimmers with precision and attention to detail, helping them improve their technique and race strategy. What continues to inspire me is watching swimmers progress and reach levels they never imagined possible. Seeing athletes break through mental and physical barriers, develop teamwork, and grow in self-discipline and self-esteem is at the heart of why Icoach. My approach is centered not only on performance, but on building character and resilience in every swimmer I work with. Over the years, I have built programs that emphasize unity, commitment, and hard work—core values that translate beyond the pool. Whether it’s guiding a new swimmer through their first race or mentoring a seasoned athlete preparing for championships, my passion remains the same: helping swimmers discover their potential and thrive as both athletes and individuals.
