Position: Masters Coach
Location: Anchorage, Alaska
Start Date: November 11, 2025
Compensation: $35–$75/hour (depending on experience and program revenue)

About the Role
 
Northern Lights Swim Club (NLSC) is seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable US Masters Swimming–registered coach to lead our adult Masters program. We are looking for a coach who can inspire, challenge, and guide swimmers of all skill levels—from beginners seeking fitness and technique improvement to competitive Masters athletes preparing for high-level meets.
 

Practice Schedule
  • Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday: 7:00–8:15 PM
  • Saturday: 7:30–9:00 AM
    (All sessions are in the water.)

 
Qualifications
  • Required Certifications:
     
    • US Masters Swimming Coach registration
    • First Aid, CPR, and Lifeguard Training
     
  • Experience:
     
    • Proven ability to coach adults of varying skill levels
    • Strong communication and motivational skills
     
  • Preferred Qualifications:
     
    • Fundamental knowledge of triathlon swim training
    • Current USA Swimming Coach certification (preferred but not required; preference given to candidates with this credential)

Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver engaging, progressive swim workouts tailored to the Masters community.
  • Provide stroke technique feedback, race preparation guidance, and fitness programming.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and goal-oriented environment.
  • Collaborate with the club’s leadership to promote program growth and participation.

Compensation & Benefits
